Free Heart Clothing Preview

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you may have noticed a few very exciting posts the past few weeks. I've been working on starting a clothing line and our first printed design was a huge success. We printed 25 tees as a test and they sold out in about 3 days.
I've been patiently waiting to make a huge announcement and explain all the tiny details, but I'm honestly just too excited. I have a wonderful team of volunteer staff and models that have been helping get things organized for a full launch this fall and on Sunday we'll be shooting our first promo video. It features 3 designs including the Classic Anchor, modeled here by sisters Erin and Noelle. The video will also include the Festival Tee and Candy Hearts, shown below.

The video will be shot in Ocean City, MD by a good friend of ours, Candy Fortney and will feature 7 of our team members, Hunter, and myself. We're so excited and can't wait for you to see it! Once the project is completed, we'll be using it on a Kickstarter campaign to help raise money for a huge cold weather launch including crewnecks, beanies, and some Christmas-exclusive gifts. In the meantime we're developing and releasing our summer items. The staff favorite is the Fesitval Tee and is currently available for preorder on our webstore. Other items in progress include: pocket tees, iPhone cases, sunglasses, patches, pins, stickers, and so much more!

Here are a few of the concept images for the next year:

Engagement Party Inspiration

As I've mentioned, Hunter proposed on February 2nd. We don't plan on holding the wedding any time soon, but the meantime we've been discussing and planning an engagement party! We're constantly looking at other blogs, wedding websites, and party planning books for ideas and inspiration; and today I'd like to show you some of our favorite small details from around the web.
Our decorating taste is eclectic, but we're particularly fond of indie and rustic detailing. We plan on making a lot of our decorations and food together or with our family and friends. We'll post all of our projects and personal touches as we go!
Our plan right now is to have a barbecue/picnic instead of a formal party. To save money we'll be hosting it at our home instead of renting a hall. We've also chosen not to rent traditional tables and chairs and instead will be borrowing wicker lawn furniture from neighbors and family and grouping it in sections around the lawn. We also plan on spreading out a few picnic blankets. Needless to say, we're very excited. I can't wait to show you everything as it comes together and the photos from our special day!

10 Tips To A Happier Week

1. Buy flowers. A big bouquet at the grocery store will only cost you a few dollars and if well cared for, can last for over a week. Plus some can easily be separated to fill multiple small vases!
2. Prepare meals ahead of time. Use a few hours at the beginning of the week to pre-plan and begin preparing dinners. Chop your produce, cut and season your meats, and organize everything into storage bags in the fridge. You'll cut time and stress out of your daily dinner time routine.
3. Get more sleep. Hitting the hay just a half hour earlier can turn your morning around.
4. Exercise. No gym membership? No problem. Walk the dog, go to the park, or find an aerobics video online. You'll feel happier, energized, and more optimistic.
5. Schedule personal time with your significant other (or yourself!). Watch that new movie on Netflix, play a game, take a bath, or lay in bed together and play a record. Your relationship will thank you.
6. Try something new. Be it a new hobby, recipe, or just a book series you've been dying to read. New experiences might help you discover a new love.
7. Deep clean the house. Take some time every day and focus on one room at a time. You'll feel amazing all week seeing everything become clean and more organized.
8. Treat yourself. You deserve that new lipstick shade.
9. Treat someone else. So you can't afford to treat your coworkers to drinks; it's okay! DIY or bake something amazing for someone who makes you smile.
10. Start a journal. Write down your happy thoughts, doodle, or tape inspirational photos to the pages. A journal is a great personal oasis.

Happy Birthday, Kiki!

It's my 21st birthday! I've been excited because there's so much planned for this week, but I want to take a break to post a few of my favorite birthday gifts.
Nathan, one of our best friends, gifted me new vinyl that I'm VERY excited for.

1. The Academy Is... - Fast Times At Barrington High (Blue Marble)/2000
2. Man Overboard - Heart Attack (Purple)/500

I also ordered myself Breath Carolina's Hello Fascination from MerchNow to add to my ever growing collection. What's your favorite album that's been released on vinyl?

Let's Get Silly

We've finally began painting our bedroom! The color is Pantone's Turkish Tile with an eggshell finish. I thought the perfect way to show off the color (and test how well it photographs) was to take some silly photos for Facebook.
Outfit Details:
  • Dress: Hot Topic
  • Necklace: Hot Topic
  • Lace Ears: Claire's

I'm also wearing my 12" extension full set and a pair of false lashes from Forever 21. How excited are you for spring?! I can't wait to get outside and start posting more outfit photos.
